These can usually be adjusted on TV or by the graphics card drivers.

direct.ini has some basic functionality in that respect, but it'll affect the recordings themselves so might not look good on other systems/players..

so if you want to adjust recording's qualities, play with direct.ini sharpness, etc at top..
[analog only, doesn't affect digital video at all]
if you want playback to look different, adjust video card's settings..

What tuner are you using? If it's a Hauppauge analog tuner, search for "hauppauge tweak tool". It lets you adjust the levels. It works great on my PVR-150 and PVR-500.

Can the Hauppauge tweak tool be used on the analog side of hybrid / combo cards?

Specifically the HVR 2200?

Thanks

What are the default settings. Analog comes in brighter than atsc so I would like to adjust it if possible.

When it says 'default' in the settings, it doesnt set the brightness etc, and will end up with whatever the driver defaults are for that device. ie, so the default settings will vary from device to device.

Thanks adjusting the brightness to about 45 fixed the difference between atsc and analog. You just need to restart PVRX2

Changing just the brightness caused the hue to get off. I had to change all settings from auto and adjust them manually. I wish there was a gui for doing this. Maybe there is.
