WinTV PVR problem

Hi All

I have downladed and installed GB-PVR and i looks like it has a great interface. I am using a Hauppage WINTV PVR PCI card that I bought a couple of years ago. this is the one that predateds the PVR 250. The problem I am getting is that when I hit the Live TV button I get a 'failed to communicate with the gb-pvr recording service'. In selecting the capture card there dosent appear to be an option for the PVR only the PVR250/350. Is the PVR supported or does it just not work with it? The cards ok coz it works fine with the crappy TV2000 software. It also works with Virtuadub but not much else. Any help/insights would be most appreciated

DOH!!!

Ah well I was thinking of getting another card anyway, never was very impressed with the WinTV PVR.

What would others reccomend? My short list would consist of the following:-

Leadtek PVR2000
WinTV PVR 250
WinTV PVR 350
WinTV PVR USB2

Because I wasnt that impressed witht the Win TV PVR I am vearing towards the Leadtek card. Costwise it seems to be cheaper and according to reports is as good as the WinTV cards. Alternately I am considering the PVR USB2 for the option of using it with a laptop (not essential)

Does the Leadtek compare well with the WinTV options ?
Do the PVR 250/350 cards produce better picture quality the the origional WinTV PVR's?
Is the picture quality of the PVR 350 any better then the PVR 250 ?
How does the PVR USB2 compare to the 250/350 ?
Are there any other cards that are reccomended over these?

Sorry for all the questions but I had a brief foray in to the world of TV capture 2 or 3 years ago and am somewhat behind the times.
