Xrecord show icon downloaded automatically by XRecord ?

Is downloading of the Icon for an Xrecord show performed automatically by XRecord or is this only done on a Manual DL Icon when you press the stop button?

If not, could I ask for this as a feature please?

AFAIK the stop button menu is the only way. It doesn't often find anything anyway. Something needs to be done about icons in XRecord. I was considering calling one of the other icon tools. Screen scraping is so high maintenance...

In the latest version on the wiki, the first item in the stop menu will now use ProgramImageTool to download the show icon if the utility is installed. There's nothing automatic, you still have to use the stop menu but with ProgramImageTool installed the success rate is much higher than before.

When would you see the automatic thing happening? You wouldn't want XRecord to be repeatedly looking for icons that can't be found.

Automatic? Just after a show is recorded I guess, maybe called from postprocessing ?

here is another wish I suppose--
can xrecord on a client be setup to look for icons on the server instead of local??
programimagetool wont work on the client because it only looks for listings locally.
cant automatically copy to client because it isnt always on.

The integration of ProgramImageTool into XRecord works on a single show at a time. You click on the stop button/Ctrl-S on a ready show and select Dl image 1. This uses the /show option of the ProgramImageTool utility and passes the show name as an argument so the ProgramImageTool utility shouldn't need access to the EPG in this case.

I didn't try it on a client so it may not be working but the reason must be something else. If you report the replication steps on the client I can try to fix the bug.
