Xrecord on a client doesn't show PLAY button?

I just installed Xrecord on a client andteh Recordings menu shows recordings with a play button but CXreord shows Delete etc., but does not show the PLAY button? Is Xrecord known to work on a client setup?

Others have complained about this here. Someone seems to be using it on a client but describes other rectracker problems here. Basically XRecord needs some development work to function properly from a client.

Edit: Version 0.5beta on the wiki since Sep. 2 2007 fixes the play from client.
