I'm finding that PVRX2 is not very friendly to users who don't control it via a remote control. It took some searching to find that the "search" feature is still available by pressing F1 when looking at the guide. Why not have a mouse target for it or at least a visible menu option so that users know it is there?

Also, when playing recorded programs the on-screen controls to let you pause, etc have disappeared.

In the meantime, I'll need to memorize keyboard shortcuts but the new interface is definitely more awkward for mouse-users. I'd like to see some of the mouse targets reintroduced into PVRX2.

Yep i am also missing the on screen controls and noticed the record menu is now missing the arrows that you could change your selections like record quality. I know you can still use the keyboard the change the quality but it is just less mouse friendly without them. I am not at the main computer so i can't remember but I think the main menu was only change able by keyboard not the mouse other then the second option you could just click on. Maybe the main menu could be so if you hover the mouse near the bottom of the buttons it would roll up so you could get to the other options.

I'm also sorely missing the old mouse-controls. I don' t have a remote control to use with my setup, I just use a wireless mouse and keyboard. I like to keep it simple and just use the mouse by itself, but the PVR isn't very agreeable to this.

I'm not sure what mouse things you're missing exactly, but just so you know, there was a patch posted a few days ago that officially fixed a bug but also happened to add Net Radio back in and the OSD mouse buttons you get during playback. Most other things should already be controllable with the mouse wheel and two mouse buttons.

The mouse controls that I am missing is the ability to pause playback of recorded shows and skip forward/backward.

If there is a patch that will correct this I would like to install it, but I can't seem to find a reference to it.

Since sub says it is stable I guess I can provide the link, but he hasn't moved it to survival guide status so I assume that you have to be prepared to remove it.

It also has NetRadio which I've been using with PVRX2 from the mvp for a few days now.

I've been able to apply the patch linked above. All I've done since is watch a little football, but everything seems to be in order. The mouse buttons are now available. Thanks!
