here is one

is it possible to make it so rectracker will not unschedule a show if I choose a recording using "quick record" or by pressing the record button in the guide.

many times I say "that was a good episode" and set it to record, only to see it was purged later.

I guess there needs to be a button to do the opposite of the "Seen It" button. A way to delete the episode from the watched list. You could in theory delete the show from the watched list but if the list is long, the Watched screen will have so many pages you'd be hard pressed to manually find the episode you want to remove.

One way to do it is to let the Scheduler, control the recordings, and not use the -purge option of rectracker. You can use CDK Scheduler's ability to allow recording of Duplicates or not on a show by show basis. The -purge option as you have found out is indiscrimatory, and affects all shows not just ones that you want.

The scheduler's advance option will allow you to specify that it should record duplicates. CDK Scheduler uses the same duplicate testing API's that rectracker uses, but uses them when scheduling a program and again it's on a show by show basis.

Hi fla. Is there a way to choose multiple (or a clear all shows) from the watched list and delete more than one at the same time? Mine is very very long. I hadn't looked at it for a while.

For clear all, I think it was mentioned somewhere that you could delete the rectracker.db.

Ta!

I use MS access to edit the rectracker.mdb
sort it by show title and it is easy to manage.

I know I could do that, but lot of folks (wife e.g.) would be daunted by it...!!

I'm not sure what the status of the skins are, but I remembered you said you'd need to finish these first before getting onto anything else. If they are finished, I'm still holding my hand up for a few goodies. No massive hurry, but they'd help "complete" my Xrecord experience. They are:
  • An AutoArchiver
  • Allow Multiple "Archive to" directories (so you can choose)
  • Delete multiple shows simultaneously
  • Icon Downloads. See also Improved Show Icon Download facility
  • Allow importation of a recordings dump to an Archive
Cheers!
