On the PVR-500 it looks as it may be $199, see this post: http://www.shspvr.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5675

Looks pretty neat, but it didnt look like it included an MPEG decoder to give the quality TV out the 350 does?

Looks like the pvr 500 mce is only has drivers for windows Media Centre Edition so unless some 3rd party comes up with drivers for XP then I will not be getting one.

From what I gather, there is no decoding...Just encoding for dual connections...Hmmm. Now we wait for the non-MCE version of the card. [Image: smile.gif]

Only semi-dual tuner. It has a built in splitter. So you could do analog cable and directtv for example, but not digital cable and directtv.

I thought media center edition was basically XP with the MCE code. The drivers may (even should) work I believe. But I won't be the first one to try it [Image: smile.gif]

Exactly, but as far as I'm aware you can't buy a MCE edition of any tv-tuner product unless you're a computer manufacturer (i.e. they're sort of OEM)...

I bought the 250MCE from newegg directly and I don't own MCE. Not sure about the newer models though.
