EGP Solution

Greetings Folks

I've looked unsuccessfully for a consolidation or summary of EGP solutions so I'm posting.

I would like to determine a cheap (no cost) solution for the short term so that I can test my new setup (upgrading to 1.0.16 and going to digital cable.

Is there a summary somewhere ?
