how to import mpgs into Recordings->Ready list?

looking at it now i see some improvements i can make...
like adding any file type..[currently only imports .mpgs]

and cleaning up the path stuff..
but it works as is...
hope it works for you...saved my stuff a couple times already...


fixed some things, namely some files have the utf stuff at top of every show's xml, some don't..
added check to remove it if it does in final output.

EDIT:
added formatting, avi detection [tho you'd have to add those metadata yourself already]
and display of list of found shows..

i know... saved my arse a couple times already...
tho i notice now i've transcoded quite a few and didn't copy the data over to new file...
[easy, just run something like this after conversion,before deletion:
more < "%originalfile%:metadata.xml" > "%newfile%:metadata.xml" ]

Thanks to you, PBS. I reinstalled my gbPVR and in the process deleted my carefully created xml dump file! Your script brought all my shows right back into the newly installed gbPVR.

Just to make sure, did you update the batch file in your previous post or do you have a location where the file can be downloaded?

This script would make a nice addition to the wiki!
