Scripting Options

I am looking for an application that will allow recordings to be made of TV channels. That will allow a script to run at the end of the recording period.

ie record TV1 News from 6-7PM then immediately at the end, on completion take the file and move it to a location on the network based on the filename.

Also I need to record in WMV format ...

gbpvr can do this, there's a postprocessing batch file that runs after each recording. You can use this.

mencoder vlc ffmpeg etc can be used to recode the recorded video to what you want, this also can be controlled with GBPVR.
