Uh oh...
I can't find the Youtube thing now.
Or the net radio!

I ran the configuration program and it shows youtube and netradio is checked but it doesn't show in the menu.

But when I run the older program they do show up.

I installed some goodies like the weather thing and the webcam thing and those work after I enabled them in the configure program.

But the youtube & netradio things only shows up in the old gb program. Sad

Did I do something wrong?

Thank you! :o

No, you didn't. I don't believe YouTube is available in pvrx2 just quite yet, but it should be soon.

Afaik youtube doesn't work anyway, because they changed their site. I think Sub had a new version of the youtube plugin ready to release when they changed their site again. So I don't think there's gone be a new version of this plugin very soon.Smile

Hmmm.. Well with the older version of gb (not the x2 one) youtube shows up in the menu and *some* things will play but not all things will.
I swear I thought it was working in the x2 version before but maybe I am confusing them.

Like you can play the "top 25" or something like that, thumbnails show up for them and they play but if you search for other stuff they usually won't play.

I sure hope they can fix that. Youtube looks terrible on your pc screen but it actually looks pretty good on even a 36" tv. And there's all kinds of silly stuff on there.

The only thing you could do to improve gb would be to put a ratings system in it so you could let the little ones use it without fear of them getting into something naughty. But I guess that's almost impossible if you're connected to the internet.

I guess now I'll have to build another one just for the kids.

At one point sub mentioned he was going to let it die off because he didn't like chasing a moving target. However he was also thinking about just releasing that portion of the code to allow a plugin developer to take over the task of keeping up with the changes in the youtube site.
Hopefully he will release it and someone will pick up the ball and get that working again if he doesn't have the bandwidth to keep updating it.
