Hi All

I'm a recent convert to gbPVR, and the XSuite really adds a lot of value to program. I watch exclusively on Media MVPs, and one thing that's not quite working is the "watched" category of Xrecord. When I select it, my MVP reboots! All the other features seem fine, is this crashing expected or is some way I can prevent it? I really would like to use this feature as we use gbPVR for our kid's, who are a bit young to get the idea of deleting shows when they've watched them.

Thanks!

XRecord keeps track of watched shows automatically when they are played in the rectracker database. The rectracker database is then used by CDK Scheduler* which will check rectracker to figure out if an episode is new to you and should be recorded. There is also a "Seen it" menu item in a couple places to manually add a show to the rectracker database. The "Watched" menu is only used to browse the rectracker database and delete show names from it so they will be candidates to record. CDK Scheduler entries can be flagged as "Record Duplicates" in which case the rectracker database is ignored.

That being said, even though the "Watched" menu is seldomly used, I'd hope it worked on the MVP. I don't have an MVP but zip the logs and I'll take a look.

*CDK Scheduler is an alternate scheduler, distributed with XSuite, that can schedule shows by wildcard searches by name, description etc... ex. Record anything with the word "Football" in the title or anything with the word "opera" in the description. It can also prioritize recordings and assign tuners.

Thanks for your reply fla. Which log would be relevant? I looked through them all and didn't see any error messages. The MVP drops right into the "scanning servers" blue screen as soon as I press "OK" on the watched icon, so there may not be any error messages.
From your description it sounds like the watched feature doesn't provide what I'm looking for, though ( a list of watched shows from which I can delete). Are you aware of any plugin that would, or is it even possible w/ gbPVR?
Thanks!

It would be in gbpvr's main log file but people usually zip the entire log directory as explained on the wiki. I guess there aren't any errors logged in this case. I don't know if other plugins or gbpvr itself does what you want. Does anyone else know?
