Quote:I agree with htv, first I'd check permissions. What normally needs to be done for a windows installation, is that the gbpvr recording server is running under a user account with network permissions (it installs under "Local Service" which is not able to access the network).

I am logged in as administrator and its installed logged in as that
I cant find any way to check if administrator is the one that its
running under.

I have made a recording from tv on the remote machine and the
file was saved on the other computer so i think that takes away
the permission thing

But i can be wrong about this

Where should the playlist be if you choose save playlist in ML2?

I cant find it

Quote:wrt vmr9, that is the required vido-renderer for PVRX2. It's possible that your video-card doesn't support it. GBPVR can run with vmr7 or overlay but it isn't developed anyfurther.

Do you know where i can find theese?
VMR7-9

Are they coming with the graphic driver?

My graphic card in my laptop is a SiS740.

Maybe that can help you?

I think you should do some googling or ask the videocard/chip manufacturer if the sis740 supports vmr9, I doubt it but couldn't find a conclusive answer in the quick search I did.

Go to the windows services and look at the log in account of GBPVR Recording service. It it says local system, then change it to a user account.

Perhaps yes, but I would check any way.

Playlists can be through your music collection they will be read when music files are. So if your music collection is on D:\Music\Album then if there is a playlist in the d:\music directory it will be read.

BUT, tracks will only be displayed IF ML2 can find them. And that comes back to the two issues, of permissions, and testing of network based files (which I have not done).

Saving you press ctrl-y, depending on your skin will depend on whether an indicator shows up or not.

Press ctrl-y then type something then enter.

See if that saves. ML2 is not designed as a playlist editor, and it's playlist actions are very limited. Mainly as they are not a big thing for me, so all playlist actions are at the request of users, so I wouldn't necessarily notice if they are not very good.

So now you have files in your library?? Thats good.
