My setup seems to be going through the process of recording - although this is the first time I've tried so it could be doing anything!. I can see the recording starting, ie in the pending it says recording and the TV card status says its recording but there is nothing on the disk except the folder for the series is created. Looking in the log I see the following - I guess this is a problem - please can you tell me how to fix it.

Cheers

Keith

Yes, you'd need a mux installed to digital recordings on Win2K.

Great - I now have a MUX and some 5 min test recordings that all worked fine.

In GB-PVR config in the Misc tab there is a BDA mux drop down with 3 items (MS, Cyber and TS). How do these relate to the Mux I have installed?

What should I set them on.

I installed the THMpgMux.ax mux and my recordings are MPEG.

Will this mux improve the playback of dvr-ms files or do I need to add more Muxes?

Thanks

You installed the Cyberlink mux, so should probably select that.

The TS Mux will produce .ts files which will be a lot less useful for you. The Microsoft isnt available on Win2k.

OK thanks

I have some dvr-ms files from another PC - but they play back with quite a bit of stutter.

I assume this is due to the decoder not being the same - but could it also be the renderer - they were recorded on XP and now its Win2000.

Thanks for your help

I'm getting there but its a slow process !
