how to change the background?

Until we get this resolved, you can browse the "C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\Plugins\SkinPlugin\Resources\Backgrounds\"

folder and copy the file of your choice to
"C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\skin2\Community3\menu\" and rename it Background.jpg

Not an elegant solution I know, but McBainUK will need to help out if it is plugin related.

I managed to force pvrx2 to clse right after choosing a background and this resulted in a new background but it is hard to do and now my pvrx2 has froze so that sucks

I will have to do a hard reboot which will destroy whatever recording was in progress,,
oh well

i'll just stick with the bland mce skin

in the error log i noticed many things do not copy over so i am missing many of the theme features

Actually it is slower computers that can have trouble, as they can sometimes restart PVRX2 before all the skin files have been copied.

do you know if the program leaves a batch file somewhere that I can click to make the changes when GBPVR is offline?

You can close GB-PVR and run SkinPluginHelper.exe to apply the skin changes.

If you're referring to the task image copy failures than it's normal and to be expected, there is a note in the log file about this.

• I assume you've tried it with more than one background, just to check it's not a bad image file?
  
• Do you have any MVPs?
  
• What other plugins are you running? One of them could be somehow locking the file.

For what it's worth i'm having exactly the ssame problem here since installing the latest build. Worked fine with previous versions.

This is now a new fresh install of GBPVR in a new directory and I can now change back grounds most of the time.

All above plugins installed and working.

Great skins.

are there any preset files anywhere? would love to see what others are using.
