Hi,

I was wondering if the CallerID Plugin is working under the latest GB-PVR (old Interface).
It is not showing up in the Config under Plugins.

Anybody?

Thanks and Cheers,
Peter

Well, thanks, that did the job. Now I only still have to figure out how to make it work with my FritzBox.

Cheers,
Peter

Y'know what would be really nice would be a SIP compliant plugin that one could use with Asterisk.

With MythTV there's a SIP phone and you can connect it to your Asterisk server for things like Video Conferenceing with the grandchildren etc. If we had such a thing we could either use it to display just SIP based CallerID or even do a full VC session (webcam required).

Dunno. Would it? How does the notify message get into GBPVR? Does the CallerID app speak TAPI? Is it expecting a TAPI device to send it instructions?

Aha!

So then it should.

Looks like I'll be playing and reporting my results.

I've setup a slightly different configuration using 2 other programs.

I've installed and configured:
ASTAssistant from here
Enabled, disabled, configured, etc. It's all good to the way I want the system. I simply picked a SIP extension that is part of the whole house ring-group to monitor.

However, the 'toast' (popup) is not transparent.

Glass2K from here fit the bill.

I called the monitored extension and selected the toast when it popped up. Then set the desired transparency. Auto run, auto-remember, save and close.

Finally, set GBPVR to be on top.

Now, when the line rings, I see a popup CID that does not completely block the screen.

Beware that there may be a bit too much control provided by this method -- such as transferring calls, etc.

Best
