Everything looks find in the logs, but the device never seems to lock onto a signal. Can you see what frequency (for example, 490000KHz) and bandwidth locks (6/7/8MHz) a signal in ProgDVB? If so, then I can check this was one of the frequencies scanned by GB-PVR.

Hi sub,

i have tried all options in ProgDVB and all the files in folder program (with text editor), but I have not found any information on frequency and bandwidth locks.

How do I get this information?

Thank.

I'm not familiar with ProgDVB, but I'd be surprised if there wasnt somewhere you could see this info in the app.

I also have a problem with this twinhan tuner. Mine is slighty newer than the 6000, I have the 6010. I have changed the bda.ini file to look like so:

[Twinhan DTV-DVB UDXTTM6010]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-T
FILTER_TUNER=DTV-DVB UDXTTM6010 - USB 2.0 DVBT Receiver
FILTER_CAPTURE=DTV-DVB UDXTTM6010 - USB 2.0 DVBT Receiver
PIN_TUNER_IN=Antenna In Pin
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=Antenna In Pin
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

GBPVR accepts the above changes and attempts to scan channels using this tuner. Actually, it does indeed scan. It finds signal strength and quality on channels too, but for some reason doesn't identify them as a channel. The signal strength is good too. At the end it states that there are no channels found. Very weird?

Please find my log files attached.

I have other trial version programs working on this device. Namely, ProgDVB, Showshifter, MyTheatre and DVB Viewer. They all tune without issues, but of course they are not free software or open source.

Any help on getting the channels up and running would be appreciated!

Hi there again. Thanks for the prompt response. I copied the new Native Utilities file over the old one. It indeed has made a difference. When Gbpvr attempts to scan for channels I now get an error message. "GB-PVR was unable to start the BDA device you have configured...." Upon hitting ok I then get another error message: "Unhandled exception has occurred in your application...."

The scanning then quits. That is as far as things will now go.

Here are the logs.

Please note. I deleted the old logs and allowed GBPVR to create these new ones. Much smaller for you to track through.

Its unable to connect the FILTER_TUNER and FILTER_CAPTURE filters.

Going by the names, this is most likely because they're the same filter, and failing to connect to itself. I dont know why twinhan would have the one filter listed in both the BDA capture and receiver categories.

Maybe try something like this:

[Twinhan DTV-DVB UDXTTM6010]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-T
RECEIVER_ONLY_MODE=1
FILTER_RECEIVER=DTV-DVB UDXTTM6010 - USB 2.0 DVBT Receiver
PIN_RECEIVER_IN=Antenna In Pin
PIN_RECEIVER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

Thanks again for the speedy prompt reply.

Well my friend you are right on the money. I have tested the new suggested BDA.ini settings as above and they work.

The device is accessed, scans channels and channels are locked and tuned! I have loaded the actual application to test it as well. Everything is working.

In addition I tested the device with and without the Native Utilities mod you previously provided. This device works with and without the mod, it appears to now make no difference anymore.

So Sub, I suggest you add this device to the bda.ini file for future versions of GB-PVR. Here is some additional information on this device:

Device Name: Twinhan DVB-T Hybrid USB 2.0 TV Stick(AD-TU501)(704D1)

Product Page: http://www.twinhan.com/product_AD-TU501.asp

Drivers Page: http://www.twinhan.com/download_driver&software.asp

(I'm Using V1.0.2.0 (2007 06 07) of the BDA Driver.)

Also Called: AzureWave USB Hybrid Receiver

Product Page: http://digitalnow.com.au/dvbtcards.html

Thanks again!

Ok, thanks for letting me know. I'll include it in the master file.
