First off, I'm new to GBPVR, so I hope this isn't a dumb question.

I'm using a KStream XPERT DVB DTV-B. Had it working in Linux, and works using the rather awful supplied software. GBPVR recognises the card, but doesn't find any channels. I know I'm using the correct transmitter as it worked in Linux, and oddly, if I watch a TV channel in the software supplied with the card, and then scan for channels in GBPVR, it finds all the channels that are in that multiplex, but finds 6 "copies" of them. I can then watch those TV channels, but if I restart the PC, they stop working again.

Is there anything obvious I can do?

Do a scan, then zip and attach the config.exe-native.log and cofnig.exe.log and I"ll take a look.

Thanks for the reply.

I've attached two scan logs - the first one (name nochannels.zip) is the initial scan that finds no channels. The second one (somechannels.zip) is what happens if I do the scan after I've watched some channels with the TV cards supplied software. The second scan produced only a new config.exe-native, hope this is as expected.

Sorry, I dont really know what to suggest. There is no sign (in either log) of that device locking onto a signal in either of those locks.

We've seen a couple of devices which return a few packets of data from the last successful tuned frequency on each subsequent failed tuning attempt, which explains which you seemed to get the channels from one frequency repeated six times. It never actually locked any signal, or received any real data.

Thanks for the reply.

I assume that there is some problem between the way GBPVR searches for channels and the driver/card I'm using, and that I'm unlikely to be able to fix it?

I have two DVB-T cards, the second works fine in GBPVR but not in Linux, whilst this card works fine in Linux but not in GBPVR. So I guess I need to choose between MythTV and GBPVR, and get a third card which works in the chosen OS.

Yes. It sound like something quirky about the BDA drivers for this device that doesnt like the way GB-PVR does things (while hundreds of other devices have no problem).

You can only really hope that as the manufacturer provides updated drivers that this issue will be resolved.
