I'm not having a problem but have a question....

I just upgraded to newest version and love it. Sub, great work. Browsing around the threads I noticed some people having problems with back to back recordings... which made me think.....

I have two tuners. If I schedule two shows to record at the same time, say 10:00 to 11:00, with one minute pre and post padding, logically the recording service will use one tuner per show. What if I also schedule two shows to record from 11:00 to 12:00, with one minute pre and post padding? Will it start recording the second set of shows at 11:01 or will it stop recording the first sets of shows at 10:59? What if I add a third tuner?

Thanks.

If you had two tuners I'd expect each recording to be on a separate tuner, so both would include the pre and post padding.

If you'd only hade one tuner, then the first recording would contain only pre-padding, and the second recording would only contain post-padding, it would switch at 11:00.

Even if the recording are on separate channels? How could that be? For one minute it would be recording four different shows at once... with two tuners???

Take the following example... which includes the one minute padding.
Show 1: Ch:2 09:59 - 11:01
Show 2: Ch:3 09:59 - 11:01
Show 3: Ch:4 10:59 - 12:01
Show 4: Ch:5 10:59 - 12:01

Because from 10:59 to 11:01 two tuners would have to somehow record on Ch, 2,3,4 & 5, which I didn't think was possible.

Sorry, thats not how I read your question above.

In this scenario, I'd expect it to record 09:59 - 11:00 on two tuners and 11:00 - 12:01 on two tuners.
