Settup both digital and analog with a hvr-1600

I have setup my hvr-1600 with ota hd. Things are working fine. Now I am trying to also add QAM access. I tried to add another capture device. When I check the "Show only devices detected" checkbox, the configuration program terminates. (no error). If I g through the list and choose hvr-1600 (analog) and click ok, the GBPVR configuration programs just terminates. Again no error.

It's a bit confusing if this patch is still required with 1.1.5 release. Also there seems to be other patch file of the same name and additional qam.ini file. Which one is the right one if patch is necessary for 1.1.5?

By the way, without the patch, I don't see config terminating like the poster mentioned.

I am running 1.1.5 although I was having the problem that the config program would just terminate. I applied the fix and it corrected the problem.

This problem just started happening to some people recently. It started after one of the Microsoft Windows updates. This was after the 1.1.5 release, so it is still needed for anyone that finds that they have this problems (config app terminating).

New patches always superceed older ones. Its up to the user to decide if they want to apply any patches that are posted, based on the description in that thread. Any patches that I think are important I add to the '1.1.5 survival guide' thread. A lot of the other patches are for problems that only affect a few people, or a things that I cant otherwise test for the next release. When the next release is made, all patches are part of the base install of that next version.
