I get the following error when I try to open XRecord. Can you tell me what I am missing. I realize I am giving you minal information and I will give other information if you need it but hopefully this error message will tell you what I need.

2008-01-28 12:23:03.650 ERROR [1] Unexpected error: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Does it happen when entering XGuide? How about XSearch and XRecord? You can try uninstalling XRecord from the Add/Remove programs. Then make sure you delete any recordplugin.dll, guide2j.dll and fastfind.dll that are still around under devnz/gbpvr/... . Deleting the skin/xrecord, skin/guide2j and skin/fastfind directories might help. Then reinstall xrecord.

If it still doesn't work after the clean reinstall, I can make a debug version with more logging in XGuide (if that's where the crash is) and we'll figure it out.

I uninstalled XRecord, as you requested. I then deleted the directories you mentioned and then deleted all the GBPVR logs. I then downloaded a fresh copy of xrecord-setup-beta and installed it. I went to CONFIG to make sure that XRecord was enabled (and possibly changed some of the choices of what is displayed on the menu).

I started PVRX2 and then I went into XGuide and it crashed with the pop-up box identifying the error and the big red X on the screen. I then restarted PVRX2 and went into XRecord. It also crashed with the pop-up box identifying the problem but when I cleared that popup it went back to PVRX2's main menu, i.e. no big Red X crash.

I've attached the PVRX2.exe log and the CONFIG.exe log.

I've been trying the new COmmunity 3 skin so the errors in CONFIG.exe.log re: not being able to find the font and brush nodes may or may not be related to XSuite programs and this particular problem I am encountering.

Is there any other information I can get for you?

Just for Curiosity, I went into CONFIG and changed the current skin from Community3 to Blue. The crashes don't occur with the Blue skin.

I assume that should help you pinpoint what skin related files I am missing.

I posted a question on the community skin support thread here. There have been pretty recent minor updates to the XRecord (XGuide in particular) skins so my guess is that the community skin needs to be updated.

Did you trim this log? There is nothing in there that is related to Xrecord.

If you could, follow up in the thread Fla posted above since this is a skin related issue. I would move this thread, but lets just leave it here in case others have the same problems.
