I am trying to nail down what video Card I should use for SVideo out.
I am looking at an Nforce 2 MB with integrated Geforce 4 mx with Svideo out, Or an Ati 9550 SE 128 MB with DVI, Svideo.

Which would be best for Video Quality. I am not a 3d Gamer so that is not important.

The ATI supports DirectX 9 is that an issue for GB-PVR?

id go for a 9550 (dont get a SE version thou, they're just rubbish). the 9550 normal version is inbetween 9600se and 9600pro performance wise. and its reviewed (and often said in various forums, htpcnews.com etc) to have excellent tv out (all the 9xxx series cards i think have the same video out hardware). and if you get an ati one you have the option for the dvi to component for RGB hdtv output (if you ever get a tv without a DVI input, this is handy).
plus DVI is good to have.
direct x9 is recommended when using gbpvr.

Do you have a suggestion of a good graphicscard with a great tv-out that doesn't have a fan?

Gaming is not very important, but must be great on TV and GBPVR...

I can't speak for TV-out quality, but my nVidia FX5200 is fanless. I'm using an Apollo that I got from NewEgg.

the standard 9600 is a great graphics card with good tv out and it has no fan. so not the 9600se,9600pro,9600xt just 9600. a little harder to find than the others but should be able to get one.
