BBC HD and broken-up chipmunk-like sound on channels

I've spent most of this weekend so far getting BBC HD to work, and now it does, I have a couple of other issues! My new setup is a PC bsaed on an Asus P5E-VN-HDMI with Intel Core2Duo running Vista. I've installed GBPVR and nothing else. I have a new Blackgold BGT3540 card with two satellite connections but so far I've only defined one capture source.

Now to the problems. I can watch BBC HD fine now, since installing the CoreAVC h264 professional product and AC3 Filter. But if I change channels from BBC HD to another channel, I get a brief burst of audio from the new channel, then a black screen. The PC appears to be completely frozen, but Ctrl-Alt-del can be used to get task manager up, and I have to kill pvrx2.

Another (possibly related?) problem is that a few channels have broken-up or chipmunk-like audio, but most are fine...

Any ideas?
