MovieWiz and MCE Remote

I am using Microsoft MCE Remote 2005 (version 2). As is. Just plugged it in and away I went. It work's Fine in GBPVR menus. Works with recordings / DVD's. But when I use MovieWiz to play divx movies. My remote will not do anything. Do I have to install HIP just to be able to use my remote with the MovieWiz plugin? If so. Could someone tell me if I am doing something wrong. I installed HIP (ALL plugins and Program Files). Followed these intructions from the WIKI Remote control mappings:

HIP configuration files: Hauppauge Remote, MCE Beanbag, GB-PVR mapping

Download:HIP-MCE-RemoteConfigs.zip (456 downloads)
Copy these files into HIP directory.
Start HIP, configure, File, Open Configuration, select appropriate config file.
From Remote I/O menu, select Remote Key Map.
Click ‘Open Key Map’ and select appropriate remote control file. Click OK to save.
(either ‘MCE-MCE2005 v2 Remote.hkm’ or ‘MCE-Hauppauge Remote.hkm’)
To save configuration, Click File menu and ‘Save Configuration’…

After that when I tried the remote in the GBPVR menus. It was skipping. When I clicked down once on the remote it would go down twice on the screen.

Any tips would be appreciated. thanks

Could be a focus problem. I recall reading some posts where divx would set focus off of PVRX2, so keyboard and remote would not work. I think there was a way to turn off the control tray icon to fix the problem.

Just for the record. I use MCE remote as is. Everything works fine in my environment.
I have just added one tweak (with Eventghost). And that is to start GBpvr with the greenbutton.
