I've been having an issue with interference on one specific channel. It's 48, the Sci Fi channel. At times it's been okay, but lately, it has not been okay. I get this severe waving bands across the screen. I had a new issue pop up when I recorded Read or Die during Ani Monday there was a distortion in the audio as well. This issue only pops up during recording.

I really don't know what is causing this. It's only this channel. I do have my PVR150 and PVR150MCE right next to each other. The only new thing that has been plugged into my room is a SNES.

If the problem only happens on recording then one of your PVR's might be slightly miss-tuned for that channel.
When watching live TV the system uses tuners from the bottom up and when recording, from the top down (of the source list in config). Double check the frequencies on both tuners for that channel ??

Where do I check the frequencies for that channel? I've looked through the configuration menu and I don't see that anywhere.

In config and the sources tab. I think you can put a channel number in there, but you can also enter the full frequency. Some info here on how to do it. http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Utili...gAssistant

When I had problems like this it was difficult isolating the problem as some channels were available on all four of my tuners. What I ended up doing was disabling the channel on all tuners and enabling it on one source at a time and using live TV to see which one neede tweaking

I've been busy, so I had to put off working on this problem. I tried watching stuff in live tv and saw the banding in some of other channels. It was also present in some recordings on other channels as well. While watching live tv, the status thing was showing the PVR150 as the active one. I'm wondering if there is something wrong with that one. I'm wondering if there is any way to disable one of them for further testing? I thought about disabling one of them from the device manager, but they appear identical in it.

You can't disable an entire capture card. If you have a reasonable amount of channels, then you can disable each of them for that capture card though.
I'm not always right

I did some playing around with disabling channels. It appears that the PVR150 and not the MCE is having the serious issue. I noticed most of the problem of image quality is in a few channels of the 30's, a couple in the 40's, and a few in the 60's as well. I noticed more severe interference on the 150, but both the 150 and the MCE don't look as good as they used to.

I think I have at least 2 splitters in my room. It looks like the cable feeds into a splitter that goes to the TV and branches off to my computer. I have a splitter at the computer to feed both tuners. I'm wondering if that second splitter could be causing the some of the problem.

I talked with my dad about this and he had an amplifier, which I put on the line. It seems to have helped.
