Can't get EPG to update with DVB-T

Hi,
I am brand new to gbpvr, I got it installed with no issues. I am trying to configure my DVB-T tuner in the config setup. The config recognizes the card (it is a usb) but when I try and do an EPG update the window pops up and says it might take some time, but then it disappears and nothing happens, I can't get it to scan for the channels. I am living in Germany and through other programs I can get channels with no problems. It seems that GBPVR doesn't even try to scan. I may be doing something totally wrong but I am not sure and can't find anything online that guides in the right direction. Any help would be great I'm am dying to get this going.

If you could give some detail about your setup - what make/model of DVB-T card, etc and also zip and attach your logs - see here - someone should be able to help...
