wintv-hvr1600+remote does remote work with gbpvr?

hello all im new to tv tuners and tv on a computer but not computer illiterate, i have a happauge hvr1600 model 1178 i managed to get it working with gbpvr my question is i checked with wintv software and the remote does work but will it work with gbpvr as well? and if so how do i set it up and if not what would , thanks in advance.-,ok i'v got it to see the remote and use just about every key pad volume works channel selector but no channels can be selected to watch not even with keyboard odd, guide works just cant select channel to watch thanks
