Multiple servers and syncing

Has anybody given any thought to multiple servers and syncing of files?

Where I'm going with this, is, what if you have a laptop, and you want to have GBPVR on it, so you can watch show's you've recorded on a trip. Has anybody looked into this?

about syncing you would have to make your own solution. i'm not sure if it's worth the trouble. maybe an archiver to the main server would help you further?
