You're going to have to be patient with me....
I'm running a fairly quick PC running Vista Home Premium and have abandoned WMC as it won't actually show many of the DVB channels it says it's got. I've installed GB-PVR and have run config and all seems well - with the exception of something about an incompatible dongle. I followed instrns on the forum to download Donglex2a and extracted it to the dongle file in the gbpvr directory...
Q1 Do I have to delete the original Dongle?

Although config seems to show all channels present and correct, when I run GBPVR itself, and select Live TV, I get a message saying no channels have been set up and the EPG should be updated. If I do this, nothing changes and I get the same message when I try Live TV.

Q2 Is this an Dongle related problem - or something else?

Any help much appreciated. Incidentally, my DVB signal is very good.

Unless you're using a Hauppauge MediaMVP device (see http://www.hauppauge.co.uk/pages/product...iamvp.html), then you dont need to worry about dongles.

Some users on Vista have a problem with Vista's file protection getting in the way, which can lead to this error message. To resolve this you need to delete the "c:\users\<user account>\appdata\local\virtualstore\program files\devnz" directory.
