Where is there any logging for the install?

I'm upgrading from 99.12 to the latest version and have checked that dot.net is installed and vcredist_x86.zip

The installation bar goes all the way to the right but then reports "fatal error" and rolls back

I can't find a log in gbpvr folder nor the event viewer

Any ideas?

You can log the install, but I dont know if anyone will be able to interpret the logs for you. These logs are greek to me. I've never been able to get anything meaningful out of them when I've tried in the past.

You can log the install by running it with the following command line:

msiexec /i GBPVR10209.msi /l*v c:\install.log

I am having the same exact problem.
I am trying to install the newest version and it will go through the install all the way until the very end and then I get an fatal error and it rolls back the install. I cannot get GBPVR to install at all!

Folks,

I had exactly this problem, my installation was failing during the registation of the .ax files. then it rolls back completed.

I fixed by by updated the machine via Windows Update, I think it's the service pack for .NET framework 2.0, but I've not spent enough time on the exact hot fix.

After I'd added 89 hot fixes. the installation completed sucessfuly first time.

Update the machine to the latest version and give it a try....
