This image looks nice Smile
How do I change the setup/configuring for 1080i (1920x1080)?
I changed the MVP section in config.xml to that resolution and also
changed the mvpmcx2 startup command to
/etc/mvpmc/mvpmcx2 -o hdmi -m 1080
but then only the "top left corner" (see attachment) of GBPVR was shown on my tv (a Sony KDL-40W2000, full HD capable). The TV says it's in 1080i mode, so that seems to be ok...

All patches are applied, and latest mvpmcx2 installed.

This is no biggie, 720p mode works fine, just wondering if I'm doing something wrong...

TIA

You might have to add a "--display 1920x1080" at the end of that command line. I'm not sure if "-m 1080" is enough to imply that or not...

Personally I'm going to stick with the 720p UI. Looks great, and nice and fast. 1080p would look a little better, but would also be a bit slower.

As usual, a super fast answer Smile
Thanks, the --display setting solved it! Should've thought of that....
I blame the late hour...

sub is right (again).

The reason I default 1080i to 1280x720 intentionally is because no matter how fast the network I feel the extra 1.15MB per screen is going to have some impact on performance with potentially little gain. This default may change as user feedback is received.

Just to be clear - these display settings only apply to the GBPVR menus. I can set the menu to 720p, and still output video at 1080 - this way guide response is quicker, but I can get the best video output.

Is my understanding correct?
GBPVR v1.4.7
Windows 7 Ultimate (64-bit)
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.33 GHz
4 GB RAM, 160GB system drive
640GB recording drive
PVR-500 - analog cable stations
HDHomeRun - ASTC via antenna
nVidia GeForce 8600GT
1 PCH @ 1080p componenent (was NTSC via composite)
1 PCH @ 1080p HDMI (was component)
