Another Question on the VA plugin.

What should I see on the "What's New" Entry. I imagine i should be seeing a listing of programs that have just recorded. And yet when I hit "what's new" I get the "view recent recordings" but clicking on that doesn't seem to do anything.

Or is this a skinning issue??

On the newest update I get an error on the edit DVD info program -

"Application has generated an exception that could not be handled.
Process id=0x350 (848), Thread id=0x880(2176."

i am not sure if this application works on my other computer but I did move my video archive.mdb file from one computer to the other so that I have all of the recording descriptions. i don't know if that would have caused an error or not.

i have one machine in Toronto (Canada) and one in Phoenix (Arizona) and I have them synchronizing files at night and I want to make sure that I am using the database file correctly to keep descriptions up to date or if I should be running something different to update them?

Thanks

I agree that it should show what has been recorded recently in the right pane, but it does not mostly because doing so would require extra work that I haven;t had the time to do. In this released version, if you click on the What's New entry it should navigate down to a sub list that does display all the new content. In the next release, clicking on the View Recent Recordings entry will do the same thing. In the released version, as you say, clicking on it does nothing.

Moving the video archive database between two machines should be fine. I do it all the time for debugging. Can you tell me what the date is on the DVD Info Editor.exe file is? The version I am using at home is dated Thursday, October 06, 2005, 8:24:50 AM.

Jeff Wrote:On the second point, you can not specifiy a directory, but you can get some control by specifiying the archive algorithim via the plug-in configuration. it can be set to either move the file to the first disk in your list of archive directories that has enough space to hold the file (starting with the first and working down to the bottom of the list) or it can be set to copy it to the disk with the most free space.

Jeff, On this point, is it possible/do you intend to add this functionality, I for one would like to be able to hit the archive button and choose from Archived Films or archived tv shows(or whatever you have set up as your archive directories)

Cheers
