How about a small progress bar or something running across the bottom of the rectangle around each show -- this would display whether / how much of the show has been watched? I know it'll be pretty simple: just take the frame index of the current position relative to the overall show length....but that just makes it easier to implement, right?

No, not while watching....Recordings->Ready->[some show]; this lists all the episodes of a particular show -- in that list, each show is surrounded by a rounded rectangle. The idea is to run a progress bar of some sort along one of those edges. It doesn't need to be very pronounced, and should be visually secondary to the overall list.

I used to have that in my recordings viewer (recordings2) plugin, but was trying to get sub to implement the same within the main recordings which is why I didn't update it for pvrx2.
