Gents,

Ever since the upgrade to 1.2.9 I keep getting database locked errors. I reboot the system and they clear for few hours, then they come back.

All of my recordings come up as failed, even though the program is actually recorded (the file exists and is correct). As if it cannot update the database.

I just set the SQL logging to true so i'll post some logs later on today/tomorrow, but I just wanted to see if anyone else is having similar problems. Also, are the SQL log files just in the log sub-directory?

Many thanks

G

They're included in the existing log files.

Locked again, here are the logs with SQL Logging set to true

Any ideas?? this never used to happen before 1.2.9

Any plans to move to MSDE or SQL Server?

I cant be 100% sure of the cause, but the first of these 'database locked' error messages occurs in the recording service logs almost immediately after the TV Listing plugin starts initialising in the PVRX2.exe.log file, so it might be worth temporarily removing the plugin to see if the problem still occurs.

No, I dont see any need to do this. SQLite has been rock solid, and very fast. MSDE and SQL Server by comparison have much larger and more complex setups, and use significantly more system resources etc.

I'm sure this problem you're seeing isnt any fault of database. It'll either be an application or a plugins.

You might have to remove the DLL rather than just disabling it in the config app. If its disabled it doesnt show the menu button, but it can still be loaded and initialised.

I did some more digging around, and i think it was actually one of the client pc's on my network that was still running 1.1.15 in streaming mode.

Could this be the cause?

I dont know. Maybe. There is no sign of that being the cause in your logs though.
