Hi

GBPVR has been working fine for the past few months but I tried to start it up tonight and I couldn’t find any channels. Tried a few things but I can’t seem to find the problem. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

According to the config logs your devices never managed to lock onto a signal. Typical causes would be:

- antenna has blown off the roof
- antenna cable isnt plugged in
- you're scanning the wrong frequencies

Thanks for the quick response. I don’t think the antenna has blown off the roof and the antenna cable is definitely plugged in. I will try connecting the antenna cable to another TV to try and narrow down the problem.

UPDATE: Roof antenna + cable are working

Have a look at http://www.hauppauge.co.uk/board/showthread.php?t=12082 and grab the ScanChannelsBDA UK utility and run it. This will show, outside of gbpvr, if you can receive signals. Try both tuners as well, as there have been a couple of cases where a nova-t-500 has been deaf on one tuner.

p.s. Best not editing an answer into a previous message - I think sub relies on "new replies" to spot replies and edits don't trigger the mechanism.

Ahh thx. I will remember that in future Rolleyes

Log of ScanChannelsBDA UK is attached. There doesn’t seem to be a problem with the tuner card or roof antenna.

To be honest, I'm not really sure what to suggest. I cant see any sign of any errors in the logs.

It was a while ago now I got set up with the dual tuner Nova T 500 so forget the extact procedure
I used this to identify likely transmitters in my area:
http://www.dtg.org.uk/retailer/transmitters.html
and I seem to remember having 3 candidates which would give me some channels. Through trial and error tuning to each transmitter in turn I found the one that gave best results.

I have a similar problem with my Nova T 500 and GB-PVR. The card recieves New Zealand freeview fine on ether tuner with the supplied Cyberlink PowerCinema, and the ScanChannelsBDA UK utility picks up the expected channels .

When attempting to tune GB-PVR however, the software detects a signal of strength 50 with quality between 80%-100% at the same frequency, but detects no channels in the signal.

The channels are there , because Power Cinema can play them.

What might be preventing GB-PVR from seeing the channels?

Try running ReRegisterFilters.bat, then try again. If it doesnt help, post the config.exe.log and config.exe-native.log and I'll take a look.
