EPG Update not effective with LIVE TV?

I have an Avermedia A310 card in an Acer Laptop with Vista (not 64bit).

I can get GB-PVR config to recognise some ABC channels OK.
However when I "Update EPG" and go to watch the LIVE TV, they don't work.
The (Old UI) says I haven;t updated EPG yet, and the PXR2 LIVE TV option just doesn't respond...
Bizarerly the PXR2 worked once before it crashed...

All I want is a free TV Tuner I can watch and record LIVE TV with, without having to be connected to the Web in anyway (no internet at home).

I've tried a few others (Dscaler?), but with less success than GB-PVR...

Assume you have actually setup your EPG, then it could be vistas file protection getting in the way. Try deleting the "c:\users\<your account>\appdata\local\virtualstore\program files\devnz" directory.

GB-PVR doesnt really sound like the right app for you (unless they transmit a multi-day DVB EPG there).
