I'm using GBPVR v1.2.9 on my desktop PC & have just started to access it using the web interface, from my eee PC which has a screen resolution of 800x 480. The eee PC is running Firefox 2.x on the default linux distribution(Xandros)

Annoyingly the web page content is just wider than the screen which means I have to use the horizontal scroll bar to see the whole page. Is there a way I can set the server up to fit this screen width. Curiously running either IE or Firefox under windows, I don't have this problem - I can resize the window to just less than 800 and the web page resizes to fit without needing a horizontal scroll bar.

I'm using the default theme for the web server but the problem is the same in the other themes.

Any solutions?

Thanks

Bigger screen.... Wink

The design of the screens & the themes in both the table and CSS formats are made for 1024x768 and high resolutions.

But clearly it will resize to smaller than that & there is some different behaviour of the browsers on different system.

Does your response mean that there is no simple modification to the code that would allow it to work better on a smaller screen?

Correct....no simple way to do it.

You can however take one of the CSS based themes and modify the font, positioning and sizings in each of the css files for the screens and develop a smaller view.

This was one of the positives for developing a CSS based view of EWA....hopefully it allows users to create different themes without the application itself having to change.
