SSL (HTTPS) Access to Web Interface

Hi,

Is it not possible to use HTTPS to access the web interface? Would like to encrypt traffic for external access.

Not really. Perhaps consider stunnel or a VPN if you are concerned.

Hi,

It's more because I redirect all HTTP to HTTPS (Apache), so no other option really ... . What web server is used? It could be we can customize this (I can try to get it working locally first).

The built in web server is only able to do HTTP, not HTTPS. You'd need to use some form of proxy.

OK, I admit - have to think about that one a bit more ... :-). I'm running Apache on a different box, and it's Proxying over ... but it leaves the HTTPS termination to the "final" server (i.e. NextPVR).

I've used the Cassini version of this server in the past....they now have a pro version - still free - that does support SSL....

Hi,

I'm using Apache, and it's working fine (I have other Proxies set up). It may just be me - definite possibility! For this Proxy, I keep running in to the following,

The requested URL /Logon.aspx was not found on this server.

It seems to redirecting me to https://mydomain.com/Logon.aspx?ReturnUr...fault.aspx - does this make sense?

Yes that is normal redirection for login validation.

Hi,

Is there a way to get a detailed log for the web server? Trying to see why this is failing - and it would help to know the exact URL passed to NextPVR.
