duplicate channels

Hi,

I have a few tv cards in my pc. 1 analogue - 1 sat - 1 sat+DTT.

my problem is that when i added channels to the analogue card - it has created duplicate channels - and doesnt seem to realise that the channel name already exists.

e.g.

my sat card already has 'TV ONE' , 'TV2', 'TV3' etc etc

I added on the analogue card the same channel names and assigned them to whatever frequency number was required for each in canterbury.

However i now have 2 x TV ONE , 2 x TV2, 2 x TV3 etc etc

This does not happen when i have the same channel available via a digital source.

Is this caused by the fact that the analogue card cannot share the same channel names?

i have had to assign the same channel numbers to the duplicates - but i dont think this will work that well either.

any tips on how i can get all the sources to behave and just have 1 x TV ONE (which can be retrieved as such from 3 sources).

use the same data source for your epg data and make sure the names are the same

If you have a real EPG source, like an XMLTV file, then this should happen automatically.

If you manually added the channels with the 'Add' button, then it'll create new channels especially for that capture source, so will be separate from any other channels even if they have the same name.

yes this is what i found. i did remove the analogue channels - and then set the epg to a dvbxml file - which then created the channels again (then i had to reset the freq number)

end result - all is now how i expect it
