Ideas anyone?

I have 2 x DVB-S Cards hooked up both giving identical results.

BBC1 London,BBC3 and BBC4 are not listed in my Channel Mappings after a scan.

HOWEVER the Config log shows that they have been found, but then the tuning request does not lock them in, sorry to not zip but seemed easier as follows, any help much appreciated.

Also should have said BBC 2 not locking either but that can be seen from the log.

What I don't understand is every other channel maps on the other frequencies just problems with the BBC ones.......

Go in to your capture source settings and hit the 'advanced bda settings', then try ticking the 'ignore PMT CRC errors during scan'.

Hiya Sub,

a mixture of things now seems to have this sorted :p

1) The Patch as earlier in this thread that meant I could get past God, and his/her channel

2) Your post re: ignore PMT CRC errors

I did this and started the map again but no joy, what was needed in the final ingredient was:

3) To make sure I changed the LNB default switch setting that pops up for Astra 2A etc to 22000 (Of help anyone in UK?)

Then the BBC's I want appear. I know nothing about Satellite and I'm not sure I want to

Out of interest a brief explanation of PMT CRC errors would be nice to know!

Many thanks, this means I don't have to tear out any more hairs on my thinning head on this one....

If you have missing channels, but know what the settings are, it is usually possible to manually add entries after doing a scan.

For example, if BBC1 Wales is missing, go to:

http://www.flysat.com/28east.php

Copy down Freq, pol mode (10818 V), sid code (6412), video pid (5300), audio pid (5301).

In your gbpvr folder, go to the BDA folder and look at the scan-* files. There will be several if you have several tuners.

Find the right one for your source and copy and paste an exisitng channel entry to the bottom of the list. Change the channel name at the end to BBC 1 Wales, then alter the frequency, change the polarity setting (it could H and need changing to V), put the sid code in the "p" section, video in "v" and audio in "a". Save the file.

Next time you open up the channel mapping tool, BBC1 Wales should be in the list on the right. If you have got the settings right and are physically capable of receiving the signal, the preview should work.

I have done this loads of times for missing sat channels.

OK, many thanks,

works a treat, but why am I having to manually map?

Cheers
