Recording service hangs, no recordings.

Hello,

I have to restart the Recording service about every 3 days. you don't notice anything is wrong until you see that it skipped recordings. The "Pending" list will show upcoming recordings for dates that have passed already. When I exit GBPVR and restart the recording service, and go back into GBPVR, those entries in Pending are gone, and it will be fine for a while.

What logs should I look at? Here is the end of GBPVRRecordingService.exe-3.log which is around the time i suspect it stopped last:

Is there a command line where i could make the service restart? If this continues, I could put that in a scheduled task and have it run nightly. I know it's not the best solution, but then i wouldn't get wacked for missing my wife's shows.

Can you tell me when one of those missed recordings was supposed to occur so I know where to look in those logs?

Unfortunately your logs dont go back that far (they start on the 22nd), so there isnt much info to go on.

Post the logs again next time it happens.

There is a restart.bat file in the gbpvr program directory. I run it (or something similar) from using gbpvrwake when my system comes out of standby.

this is kind of related so i posted the logs and a pic. Sorry for giving all the logs, but on the good side i made sure it included the current ones.

In pending, you can see that it states it is recording Antiques Roadshow. The date it was on was 6-23-2008.

I've rebooted and it still states recording, it missed all the shows between then and now, and the current date is 6-24-2008 9:pm ET.

If the easiest thing for me to do would be to wipe my database and start over (hopefully keeping my config except for my scheduled recordings) I'm willing to do it. In my area, power outages are COMMON (5 in the last 6 days) and my pc doesn't always shut down clean if outage is over 1 hour. Just let me know how to do it

Update,
I canceled a current recording going on in the TV Guide, and Picked "Quick Record" on anything that was going on, and the Pending list is now caught up and it's recording.
