The most recent log there looks like you still have it set to INIT_MODE=IVAC

Though it might be because you also need INIT_MSP=0

Hmmm, strange. I have this now:

[MSI TV@nywhere Pro]
INIT_MODE=DEFAULT
INIT_MSP=0
SUPPORTS_FM_RADIO=0
MODEL=320xx,480xx
FILTER_CROSSBAR=713x BDA Analog Xbar
FILTER_CAPTURE=713x BDA Analog Capture
FILTER_TV_TUNER=713x BDA Analog TV Tuner
FILTER_TV_AUDIO=713x BDA Analog TV Audio
PIN_CROSSBAR_VIDEO_TUNER_IN=Video Tuner In
PIN_TVTUNER_ANALOG_VIDEO_OUT=Analog Video
PIN_TVTUNER_ANALOG_AUDIO_OUT=Analog Audio
PIN_TVAUDIO_TV_AUDIO_IN=TVAudio In
PIN_TVAUDIO_TV_AUDIO_OUT=TVAudio Out
PIN_CROSSBAR_AUDIO_TUNER_IN=Audio Tuner In
PIN_CROSSBAR_VIDEO_DECODER_OUT=Video Decoder Out
PIN_CAPTURE_ANALOG_VIDEO_IN=Analog Video In
PIN_CROSSBAR_AUDIO_DECODER_OUT=Audio Decoder Out
PIN_CAPTURE_ANALOG_AUDIO_IN=Analog Audio In
PIN_CAPTURE_CAPTURE_OUT=Capture
PIN_CAPTURE_PREVIEW_AUDIO_OUT=Preview Audio
PIN_WRITER_INPUT_IN=Input

And the result is that I can flip through the channels and EPG, but no reception, just blackness. The (very crapy) software that came with the card gives a feed so I know it works. It just won't receive anything in GBPVR. Probably the card lacks something. Too bad, GBPVR looks really great. Think I will have to upgrade Wink

I you have any ideas still, let me know, but it looks bad.

Thanks though Smile

Try installing these decoders, and selecting them on the playback tab:

http://www.free-codecs.com/download/MPV_Decoder.htm
http://www.free-codecs.com/download/MPA_Decoder.htm

Thanks again, I'll try that tonight when I get back from work.
I might add that yesterday I tried out the TuningAssistant to see if it would receive anything and it did so my hopes are somewhat back again.

Could it just be the codecs, now? Would be great if that would solve it. We'll see.

Talk to you later Smile

I just don't seem to get this. I have the feeling I tried everything now. I downloaded and installed the codecs you suggested and configured them in the GBPVR config. Next to those, I tried every other supported and installed codec.

Then, thinking I might just be the wrong frequenty reference I followed the registry-trick instructions of this page: http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Utili...Assistant: no result.
I could give you a log, I you think it would be worth it.

Do you think it is at all possible? I thought because the tuningAssistant and the original software did give an image, I must be possible to get an image in Live TV. This could be a wrong assumption though(?). Anyway... I'm kind of at a loss of how to achieve it.

Could you give me an impression on what you could read from the earlier logs to either give me an idea on what to try next or to just give the whole thing a rest Wink ?

Sorry, I dont really know what to suggest.

Its reason like this I usually recommend people stick to common, well supported cards, like those from Hauppauge. Sorry, I know that doesnt help.

Well, thanks anyway. You've been very helpfull. I guess I'll just buy a Hauppauge. Do you by any change have a certain type / model that you would recommend?
