I've got a revision 1 of this board and dont find it flaky. It's in my PVR which is never turned off and the fans in the case are on the slowest/quietest speed... I did the upgrade to 8.7 (Vista64 Ultimate) and so far so good. I've not watched enough HD to convinced myself if the problems I was having have gone or not though.
