Multiple manual recordings result in Timeline Problems?

In order to just tape what I want to watch (of the Olympics), I have resorted to scheduling multiple manual recordings.

However unlike my 1/2, 1 or 2 hr continous shows, which all record perfectly, I have been getting timeline issues and shortened shows with the multiple manual records. I have no problems with normal recordings.

I attach logs. Is there an underlying problem with this approach?
(note that I think we had a power outage which may have rebooted the PC during those logs).

Maybe you have the PVR150 timestamp problem.

Yeah maybe you're right. I ran the Timestamp fixit reg file last night to rule that out; tbh I couldn't remember if I had run it before (after I bought the new PC with VISTA on it - presumably it still works with VISTA?.

I've scheduled a bunch of new shows today, we'll have to see what happens.

Do the logs show anything devious?

I dont know. I assume so. You may need to make sure any registry edits are applied as administrator, or the changes may only apply to the current user account (not localsystem used by the recording service)

To be honest, I didnt bother looking. I'm pretty confident there is nothing lurking in there thought, or I would have heard more about it.

Even after I applied the timestamp registry patch I still get stuttering with some shortened video problems, also seems to occur in non-manual recordings.

The recordings seem to start OK then degenerate into pixelated video and stuttering audio. Could I ask you to have a look at the logs above to see if there is an error I can isolate to something else (like hardware or codec etc?)

I cant see anything obvious in the logs, but given your description it sounds like its problem is in the data flowing out of you capture devices. Maybe drivers, maybe the hardware itself, or some IO problems on your machine?
