I'm looking at getting a graphics card that will let me watch FreeviewHD. After much searching I came up with the notion that the Asus EN8500GT will be good enough for my HTPC box. Now comes the tricky bit - there are 3 different types for varying prices and I really want some help with which one will do the job:
1) EN8500GT SILENT MAGIC/HTP/512 HDCP compliant - $82.13
2) EN8500GT SILENT/HTD/512 - $94.50
3) EN8500GT SILENT/HTP/512 HDCP compliant - $111.94
The specs from Asus are all the same except #1 has a clock of 666MHz compared to 800MHz for the other 2.
Can anyone suggest why I wouldn't go for #1? If the clock speed is such an issue then I guess I'll need it to be HDCP if I everyplay back some protected bluerays but still that's nearly an extra $20 for something I may never need??
Cheers
BTW - What does HTP stand for? I can't seem to find a glossary anywhere.
