Hi guys,

First off...  Sub, damn man, awesome software...  and what's really awesome, FIRST install, first try, everything worked for me...  I'm amazed!

Okay, to my problem...  I hit the fast forward button... everything speeds up... I hit play, and all of a sudden, a different part of the show is on...  I hit the skip back button, at 30 seconds a pop, and I go back almost 2 minutes till I'm where I was.

I haven't been able to deduce if this happens all the time, if the jump forward is the same amount all the time or what.  Has this happened to anyone else?

I guess I'm throwing this out to get some feedback and make it known...  I'll drop more info in this message when I get some more tests run.

Thanks again Sub.

Okay, I've got some data here to throw out...

I did a fast forward of 10 seconds... you know, hit fast forward, watch my watch for 10 seconds to pass, then hit play (or pause, I also hit that button).. then checked the time that had elapsed...

a 10 second real time FF resulted in a 2 min, 30 second move.
a 5 second real time FF resulted in a 1 min, 15 second move.
a 20 second real time FF resulted in a 5 min, 11 second move.

NOW, my problem is, the display shows different.  What you see going by on the screen is NOT what it actually moves to.  For instance, on the 10 second real time FF which moved foward 2 min, 30 seconds, the SCREEN only showed me moving forward 30 seconds... then it just jumps ahead to the time displayed. I figured this out by just catching what was on the screen at the time, then going back to it. It's not an exact science, but I got fairly close.

So either the display rate, and the rate in which the new IN point is calculated are different, or there's something additional added to the time.  It appears linear, so a 40 second FF would give a 10 minute and change...

the fastforward isnt that good, i suggest you change it to "short skip" in the configuration app instead of fastforward/rewind, it will then skip 10 secs on fastforward/rewind.

actually, it looks like it works good, it's just the actual FF, and the displayed FF aren't using the same ratio. Tongue

ooooh, so if I change it, then when I hit FF, it'll just pop forward 10 seconds, as opposed to the skip forward, which is currently set at 1 min?

I might try that.

I had the skip problem when watching a program that I was recording. Sometime skip jumped 1 min sometime it jumped 15 min, etc.
