HI, I have an MCE beanbag dual blaster I am using with a 2450hdc STB. I have installed the
new mceir.sys driver
installed hip
learned and verified/blasted stb 0-9 buttons
installed hipsend
configure .exe hipblaster with '{channel} parameter in tuner source of gbpvr config
set up alternate input in hip to accept virtual ir signals from hipsend

Everything is working unless I select a channel higher than 9 (i.e. 2 or more digits consecutively)

I think that gbpvr sends a blast for each digit just like when one uses a stb It appears from the STB that periodically the first digit is received but not the remaining. If I send "134" with the MCE remote, the STB receives "1", if I send "46" the STB receives "4". Has anyone experienced this anomaly or have I got something configured incorrectly. GBPVR seems to be sending the sequences too slow or not at all. Any help appreciated

You probably need to change the delay between digits. It's a parameter to HIPSend or you can specify it in the HIPSend.ini file. 750 works for me.

Sounds like you've pretty much figured it out. Looks like you won't need the files I was going to send. Smile

I tried the delay and everything is changing channels perfectly. My hat is off to you! If I could bother you with one thing. I have been testing this on a different pc than the HTPC. Is there a way I can transfer my hip config stuff to the other machine? I tried this earlier today and it did not work. Any ideas appreciated.

Install HIP on the other box and then copy all the files from the HIP directory on your test machine to the HIP directory on the other machine. Or move only the files that changed after the install (look at the file dates).

Glad to hear you got it going.

One other gotcha...look at your gbpvr recording service (run services.msc from Start->Run) and be sure the 'Allow service to interact with desktop' in the Log On tab is checked. Otherwise GB-PVR will not be able to run HIPSend. This has bitten several of us.

Also be sure HIP is running...obvious but sometimes overlooked (don't ask me how I know that... Big Grin )

Sounds great. Yes I have read about the service property change. I think I will put hip shortcut in startup folder. I will get it on first thing this morning. Thanks again!
