Have been a RitzDVB user for the last 4 years, using my Nova-S (not plus). Have never had issues tuning multiple birds (4 in total) using a diseq switch.

Decided to give GBpvr a try since I was rebuilding my HTPC. While the intial install was pretty easy, I have been having a lot of issues with getting the satellite tuning working.

I had solved some of my initial problems, like a crapply BDA driver, and the wrong C redistributal to go along with my emunation version.

Now to my problem.

I tuned one bird, and as it was scanning, the programs were appearing in the upper right of the scanning screen. And I could click on mdplugins to see emunation working. Perfect.

I got to scan a second bird, via the diseq, and it appears to scan all the same channels as I got on the first bird. Worse yet, once it is done and I got to see the channels, emunation is not working.

What am I missing. Is there no support for the Nova-S with BDA driver, for diseq switching?

If someone else is using a Nova-S, I would appreciate some help. 5 hours and still not where I need to be.

I had RitzDVB up and running in an hour on my first install.

Sad

You should be able to use diseqc switches with most Hauppauge DVB-S devices, but I dont think that extends to their original Nova-S device, which is actually a TechnoTrend device, with drivers writen by TechnoTrend, and would have some other proprietary interface for controlling diseqc. I'm not sure how you control diseqc with the TechnoTrend BDA drivers.

Thanks for the reply sub.

Is there anyone out there using a non-Plus version of the Nova-S from Hauppauge and switching multiple birds using a Diseqc?
