I live in a suburb of Chicago, if that matters. Iâve been using GBPVR 1.2.9 and a Pinnacle PCTV HD Card with OTA successfully since its release. I havenât had a major problem at all. Recently, I have gotten a cable feed from Comcast and have also experimented successfully with QAM tuning. Everything appeared to be working fine, but for some reason I decided it was time to upgrade to 1.2.13. At first everything seemed to be working well, but since the new fall season hadnât yet started, I also wasnât recording anything to verify the upgrade was working ok.
Last night I record CSI Miami off CBS 2.1 and it recorded beautifullyâ¦.except the audio was all in Spanish. How could that have been??? I check the channel mappings and thereâs only one 2.1 CBS channel available to map toâ¦AND ITâS IN ENGLISH. I re-do a 5 minute test recording and it records in Spanish!
Then I remember that our local CBS station just did a huge transition to an all new studio with the latest bells & whistles, blah, blah, blah. Maybe theyâre broadcasting SAP now. All I need to do is rescan the channels. The scan crashes. Simple fix, I apply the patch. Rescan and thereâs no crash. Sweet, victory is mine. There are well over 138 channels/sub channels found. Only problem is that not one of them displays a single thing.
Has anybody else experienced this? To reiterate, my problem isnât the channel scan crashing. Itâs that the channels found donât display ANYTHING. QAM channels do work in the Pinnacle TV software. I am work right now and can attach logs later if required. I know I can revert to 1.2.9 if needed but I spent a lot of time tinkering with the upgrade and would like to use it if possible.
Thanks for any input.
