I have a Hauppauge WinTV PVR-500, with 2 tuners, and it is working great.
Also, I have the default settings of "record 1 minute before and 2 minutes after".
However, the program doesn't always use both tuners when it could.
For example, if I'm recording one show at 9PM, and another at 10PM, from 9:59 to 10:02, it could be using both tuners. But it doesn't In this case, it acts like it only has one tuner, and stops the first recording at 10PM and starts the second at 10PM, rather than stopping the first at 10:02 and starting the second at 9:59.
Does that make sense?
I suppose this is kind of a gray area. For example, if I'm recording 2 shows on "ABC" at 9 and 10, and another on "NBC" at 10, using both tuners in that way would make the NBC show a conflict. So, maybe in that case, the extended time could be dropped. But if nothing's scheduled to use the second tuner, would it be possible to just go ahead and use it?
It seems that the program tries to use the second tuner if possible, leaving the first free, which is cool, but I'd be willing to lose that to get the overlaps working.
Maybe an option?
Thanks,
Kevin
